Handing Out Props
Amy, after all these years, there are precious few things you don't know about me. In the interest of pushing your knowledge of all things Tom that much further toward critical mass, listed below are some bits you may have missed or forgotten:1) In second grade, I got in a fight with Jody Jenkins over whether the correct dinosaur pronunciation was Dip-LA-da-cus (Jody) or Dip-la-DOC-us (me). As it turns out, he was right. Props to Jody.
2) In third grade, I swallowed a marble in Mrs. Fitzpatrick's room. Nobody noticed. I kept my cool, didn't panic. Props to me.
3) The first female I remember seeing totally naked was my cousin Mary. She was walking down the hall on her way to the shower when John, Kyle and I came out of John's room. I think we were about 12, Mary probably 17. She tried to cover herself and dash in the bathroom, but no luck. Occupied. Measuring her limited options, she turned to us and with unflinching moxy declared, "you want a show boys, here you go!" and threw her hands in the air. Props to Mary.
That's it. Those are the only things I can think of that you probably don't know about me, or may have forgotten. Oh, and don't ever forget this:
4) I've always loved you, and I love you more every single day. You make me happier than anything else in this world. Mad props to you.

That is some good shit, Nipsy. I mean, the I love you and all, yeah, fine, nice stuff, but the Mary story.....Here's the thing: By telling the story from the perspective of a 12 year old, you've managed to make it possible for me to picture a naked 17 year old girl and get a little thrill without being a sick old man.
Uh, at least I think so.
You know what, on second thought, don't publish that comment.
