I Only Get It For the Articles
I just did a search for "Playboy 1979" on Google (no, I was NOT surfing porn), and I found this cover from July of that year, which is the EXACT month I reference (a total guess, by the way) in "Confession":
Look at the last article listed on the bottom.
Holy shit! Father Chapman bought it for an article! Nobody actually does that!!
If anyone needs me, I'll be hiding under my desk. The lightning has GOT to be coming any minute now.
Forgive me Father....

I think you are safe, the bolt isn't goping to REALLY happen-you Catholic kids and the ingrained guilt! It is a little spooky that the Pope is mentioned on the cover though...(Twilight Zone?)
2/23/06, Tom, He didn't buy the Playboy I did. Further,I don"t think Father Chapman had any interest in what most believe is the reason for having the magazine. Look at it another way maybe there was an interview with the Pope or some world famous Catholic who was discussing why the Church must revise its requirements if the Catholic faith is to survive in modern day America.Regardless,he was a wonderful man and my savior, and I can never repay him for the help he provided in my time of need.
